I don't believe in dogma, though I have been informed by various religious traditions. Most of all I believe in five key virtues, that together encompass the most compelling framework of ethics and spirituality imagined. I believe:
In Truth
The highest virtue... for without truth, one does not know if any other virtue is authentic. Truth enables all other virtues.
In Justice
Justice creates the conditions for security and freedom; justice creates the path for righteous action and a good society; justice lays the foundation for peace because it eliminates the justification for war.
In Peace
Peace allows for all other good pursuits, as violence inhibits goodness and stimulates further evil. Peace reduces fear, and as a result produces fertile conditions for truth, justice, and especially, freedom.
In Freedom
Individuality matters; one must trust in the veracity of one's life, and without freedom that trust may not develop. With freedom one discovers passion; through passion, happiness; through happiness, goodness.
In Love
Love is happiness, passion, and truth. Love gives meaning and value to life, and true love validates and reinforces all the other core virtues: truth, justice, freedom and peace.
